New RMTA Members:
If you have never before been a member of MTNA or any local MTA, you must first apply as a new member. To be considered for active membership, two letters of recommendation must be submitted. One letter should be from an individual who knows you professionally, and the second letter from an individual who knows you personally and can vouch for ethical characteristics.
Active members shall also meet one of the following requirements:
a) Hold a degree or diploma in music from an accredited institution
b) Establish a private class and currently teach privately prior to

Once your application is approved, you must then complete the MTNA application at www.mtna.org (it is not possible to be a member of RMTA without also joining MTNA and TMTA).

If your membership in MTNA is in good standing, you need only complete the RMTA membership application. If you have already paid your national and state dues, the local portion of your dues ($25) may be paid online or by sending a check made out to RMTA directly to the membership chair. MTNA & TMTA
All local members must also join MTNA and TMTA. To join, please click the link below. Most teachers will want to follow the "Active Member" instructions, but there is also a "Senior Discount" option on this page. A total fee of $172 will be collected by MTNA for your national ($97 Active Member), state ($50), and local ($25) dues.
